HomeBuilder Scheme $25,000.00 Grant
The Federal Government’s HomeBuilder Scheme has been put in place to boost the construction industry.
Anyone who is an owner-occupier or moving into the property as their principal place of residence, including first home owners, may be eligible for the grant.
The building contract must be signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020.
A single person must have an income no greater than $125,000.00 on their 2018-2019 tax return and a couple a combined income no greater than $200,000.00.
Owner builders and people seeking to renovate or build an investment property are NOT eligible for the grant.
The Contract to build or renovate must be between unrelated parties. Renovations must be undertaken by a licenced building contractor.
If the price of the work undertaken is inflated compared to the market price, you may not be eligible.
Renovations must be to improve the safety and liveability of the property, they cannot be additions to the property such as swimming pools, tennis courts, outdoor spas or sheds and garages not connected to the property.
